Shed and Fence Repairs

Stage1 - Sept-Oct 2013

Shed repaired & strengthened, roof re-felted and bitumen painted, fence panel repaired/renewed. 15" x 12" Concrete Underpinning installed below edges of concrete slab supporting shed to seal a 5'x3'x1' deep fox lair they excavated to raise 2 litters of cubs - fox family now have to find a new home. Panels were cut in shed wall to provide working room for underpinning below shed and below edge of slab of immediately adjacent property. (1 of 2 removable shed panels on left).
Repaired garden shed & adjacent 1.8m high fence panel. The large holly tree beside fence had to be cut down as it was becoming unstable in high winds. The self planted Oak Tree on right should have been removed at sapling stage but against better judgement was allowed to grow out of control and out of mind as it was providing good wind cover and privacy. Excavation to uncover buried manhole to investigate blockage revealed tree roots growing round manhole which had to be removed to carry out repairs - see manhole photos.
